The holiday island of Zante or Zakynthos is the most southerly Greek island on the western side of mainland Greece. Its a popular holiday destination every year for people all over the UK and Europe and has some beautiful sights and beaches to enjoy.
As mentioned the Greek island of Zante has some of the most beautiful scenery and attractions in the whole of Greece and its mix of sandy and shingle beaches make it an ideal choice for singles, couples and families.

is popular with younger groups who love to party till dawn. The towns of Argassi
and Tsilivi are popular with couples and younger families and the smaller towns of
Akrotiri are popular with older couples looking for peace and relaxation.

Zante Weather
The sun drenched island of Zante enjoys some of the best weather in Greece. With
the sunny weather normally starting in mid April and running until late October.
The hottest temperatures are in July and August with the average being around 30°C
and all other times its sits at a more comfortable 20-

Tsilivi
The small resort of Tsilivi has some excellent small family orientated pubs
and bars and is another popular family resort. The beach is nice and clean with
the crystal clear waters perfect for everyone to relax and float around in. Tsilivi
is geared up well for families with a bowling alley and just a short journey from
Zante Water Village.
Argassi
The small town of Argassi is very popular with families and couples alike
and has some lovely hotels that are well rated on Tripadvisor. It has a well maintained
beach which is always full throughout the summer. Just 4km from Zante airport the
transfer time is very quick and easy.
Laganas
This is the resort to visit if you like to party till dawn. With some of
the best clubs in Greece you can party to all types of music from Dance, Trance,
R&B, Garage and much more. The resort of Laganas also has some of the best beaches
on the island and is in easy reach of the airport.

We always suggest starting at Zante Town, where you will find stunning examples
of Byzantine and Venetian architecture, some rebuilt after the 1953 earthquake. Make
sure you visit the Museum of Byzantine Art, Solomon Museum and the Museum of Zakynthos.
Whilst in Zante Town make sure you visit the imposing fortress Kastro built in 1646 by the Venetians which overlooks the town and is normally open July through to October.
Venturing further afield then you must visit Smugglers Cove or Navagio (Shipwreck)
which is one of the most photographed beaches in all of Europe and one of the top
attractions for visitors to Zante for its white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue
waters.
If boat trips are your thing then you cant miss a boat trip to the Blue Caves
for a day trip. These natural caves were formed over millions of years. Found in
the 1800's the caves get their name from the blue seas surrounding them giving them
